waterjet cutting
The waterjet cutting method is very universal, and therefore its application is very broad. Here, the cutting is done by a high-pressurized, concentrated jet of water or water enhanced with an admixture of abrasive material. The significant advantage of waterjet cutting lies in avoidance of the heat impact. The method does not cause any changes in the structure of the material subject to cutting, nor does it involve any tension which accompanies other classical cutting methods. With the cutting line very thin, the achieved edge is precise. For many types of material waterjet cutting is the only available method which makes it possible to achieve any shape of the cut element in a single technological operation.
